Spotlight - Unity

Why working together matters.

People always talk about working together, but so much of what we read and see in the media show the true divisiveness of human nature. In the Church we are not advised, but commanded to seek unity -- to work together with one mind, one heart, together toward the goals set for us by Christ. It is not always easy; that's why it is a command. It is interesting, however, how much we are drawn to unity, at least as a concept. These sermon illustrations can help you to draw your congregation in to a discussion about the importance of unity.
